One of the wonderfully knowledgable ladies I worked with today, suggested keeping new grafts inside, in a warm environment for a week or two before putting them out in a sheltered outside location. She said this helps give them a boost on healing up, so I’m going to try it that way!
Another day of grafting… went to the Seattle Tree Fruit Society event today as a set-up volunteer and then grafted 6 different varieties of red fleshed apples. I also got some grape cuttings so I have 2 Interlaken grapes rooting. Super excited to see how all the grafts turn out and see how these little trees grow up.
